Matt Landers, Assistant County Manager, has   attached the first two taped sessions of our “Genesee Connects” series for you to distribute to the group.  We would like the people of Genesee County to know that local government is still here and we are as active as ever, just delivering services in different manner in some cases.

Department of Social Services and the Child Advocacy Center discuss child and adult protective service efforts and what signs to look out for to stay vigilant in helping protect our most vulnerable population during these uncertain times.  A representative from the YWCA discusses the need to keep an eye out for instances of domestic violence and provides a phone number if you see or are a victim of domestic violence.

Genesee County Sheriff, City of Batavia Police Chief and the LeRoy Police Chief discuss issues affecting law enforcement during the pandemic and what they are doing to educate the public.  They touch on what is being done to educate public about gathering in parks.  Also in the video is the County Highway Superintendent, Deputy Highway Superintendent (Parks Supervisor) and City Manager to discuss things you can and can’t do in the County and City parks.  Even during this pandemic there are things you can do like hiking and fishing.
