The Highway Department is responsible for maintenance of the town and highway roads (see map below). Maintenance activities include:

• Answering concerns and questions promptly
• Culvert pipes and roadside drainage
• Road signs, posts and guide rails
• Mowing of roadsides
• Maintenance of trees and brush in right of ways
• Road striping
• Sweeping roads and intersections
• Patching potholes
• Crack sealing
• Hot and cold patching
• Plowing and salting
• Temporary road signage – ex. road closed, road work, road flooding
• Maintenance of Highway vehicles and equipment
• Maintenance of Highway buildings and grounds
• Maintenance of Park buildings, grounds and equipment
